Shiras Galería, under the artistic direction of Sara Joudi, opens the collective exhibition The other side on Friday, November 26, where we can see other lesser-known aspects of our artists' creativity: new materials, supports, themes, etc. All this, just as the gallery line marks, combining consecrated figures of the
national scene along with avant-garde artists.
The exhibition will feature artists of great experience such as Miquel Navarro, who this last year has added to the UNESCO heritage with one of his works. In this exhibition he will be present with two unpublished works of marine aluminum very characteristic of the artist, such as Head pipe and Thorax. Rosa Torres will present on this occasion an original work on canvas
belonging to his series The Botanical, highlighting his landscapes of such personal styles. While, Horacio Silva He will not leave us indifferent with two great works such as Desert in the city and My favorite island, inviting the viewer to enter an introspection within the artist's dream world.
The artists Juan Olivares and Toño Barreiro, who have just arrived from their Art Diagonale IV residence held in Austria, will show unpublished works. On the one hand, Juan Olivares will participate with two new works made of ceramic and enameled, extracting the characteristic brushwork of his works to the three-dimensional sphere. Complementing the exhibition will be the landscapers Calo Carratalá Y José Saborit, who through drawing and composition will evoke the purest landscapes, showing the viewer their particular interpretation of the landscape.
Finally, the works of avant-garde artists such as Ricardo Escavy, Valls Carolina, Guerrero Tonda Y Samuel Nieto, whose works are based on geometry to show us new languages. In Escavy's case, music is the basis of his geometry; while Carolina Valls decomposes the analyzed objects, showing their different planes and new perspectives. On the other hand, Guerrero Tonda will transfer us to his
well-known calligraphic cities and the young artist Samuel Nieto will surprise us with a new installation created in an unprecedented way, and recently shown at the ESTAMPA fair (Madrid), in the case of a merkaba, whose lines symbolize the strength of the body.
