Sergio Rocafort

(Valencia – 1995)

Graduated in Fine Arts and with a Master in Artistic Production from the Polytechnic University of Valenica. Sergio Rocafort explores the limits of figuration, the works show the theme from the concept of decoding and encryption of the image. Thus, the recognizable suggested from the idea of ​​light and depth becomes the object of construction and deconstruction of a formal investigation that equates space and fragment in pursuit of interpretive multiplicity. The process, therefore, is the conceptual key in this project, since it seeks to stop the viewer before a language - pictorial - that is in itself a place of knowledge.

Despite his young age, he already has an incipient career with various prizes and decorations such as: The UPV Art and Research Painting Prize, the Ciudad de Algemesí Painting Prize, the First Prize XVII Castellón Youth Painting Contest and the LXXVII Bancaja Foundation Award in Segorbe City Contest, among many others. In addition to work in various national collections such as: The Polytechnic University of Valencia, Bancaja Foundation, Mutua Levante Foundation or the municipalities of Algemesí, Torrent, Paterna, Granada, among others.
